Edit - it seems that it is an F-Pace, thanks everyone for identifying it. Why all the camo when you can configure one on Jaguar.com is beyond me though.

Few hours ago, I was on I-70, and I saw this SUV on the road. My first though was Mazda CX-9, and it was about the right size, hatch angle matches, but why would they have fully camouflaged vehicles on the road at this stage, when we already saw how it will look like?

Then I saw Indiana manufacturers plates, so I wondered if this was maybe Subaru Tribeca replacement - I haven’t seen any spy shots of it yet?

Back has a mildly Range Rover Evoque look to it but this was a much larger vehicle.

Ideas?

It looks mad. I’m going to say it looks a lot like the new Jaguar F-Pace.

It seems that you are correct - I just googled it and found one with the same camo job. Now, why do they have one with so much camo on it when the car has been revealed already?

Saw that yesterday while crossing through Loveland Pass, and it was being trailed by an un-camo’d F-Pace. Also saw an XE on I-70 out by the airport later in the day.

Not sure why they bothered with all the camo, but perhaps we’ll find out soon.

Because they are still putting miles on that as a test article, possibly testing new bits for future model years. It’s cheaper to use an already existing test mule than make a new one and easier to keep the camo on than respray it.

Yup, and I’ve seen plenty of camoed cars here, just not sure why they have a car that has been released, still with full camo.

mule for new model, or facelift. possibly they took an already camo’d car and threw some new tune or tyres on it or some random difference. get the most out of an existing test bed before it has to be crushed.

The car just came out - I don’t think you can actually even buy one yet in states. I seriously doubt they would have a facelift or a new model. Maybe different trim - something sportier perhaps.
